  Downloads

The School District 21 website has been designed to be as functional as possible on a wide range of computers. Nevertheless, to provide certain types of information and experiences to the users of this website, there are certain plug-ins required. All of these downloads come from widely-recognized companies, and they are free-of-charge. As new technologies become available, they may be used on the District 21 website, and when they are, links to any available plug-ins will be located here.

Web Browser
The components of the Community Consolidated School District 21 all render and function as intended in Firefox 3 running on a Mac, Windows, or Linux computer. Download it for your operating system and in your chosen language.

PDF Documents
While many computers come with a built-in PDF reader, if you are unable to open PDF documents, you can download Adobe Reader from Adobe for free.

Audio & Video
While the majority of our web-based video content is used for staff professional development, increasingly, there is content available for parents and the community, too. Ranging from podcasts to screencasts to slideshows and presentations, these videos use either Quicktime by Apple or Adobe's Flash. In both cases, Quicktime and Flash Players are available free-of-charge for users of Macintosh and Windows operating systems. (Linux users will need to determine what software is available for their specific Linux distribution to access .mov (Quicktime) and .swf (Flash) files.)
